90 fuel delivery

I was drive down the freeway on Sat and my truck just died. Tried to restart but got no humming from the fuel pump. I dropped the tank last night as it is really rusty and thought I might as well replace it and I tried to check the voltage at the fuel tank connector. there are four wires to the connector. can someone tell me what the voltages on each pin should be. this has one tank and is a steel tank after the rear axel. I tried checking the pump relay for continuity and the plug for voltage but can't remember what they were now. Does anyone have that info also. I did try spaying either in the throttle body to see if it would try to fire up and it did. thanks in advance. Mike

im not too sure how to check that but i do know theres two fuel pumps there should be one inside the frame rail around under the cab too you might wanna check that one too cus thats the one with the most pressure the one in the tank doesnt deliver that much psi just enough to get it out then the secondary takes over maybe it came unplugged or you blew a fuse

1990 was the first year that did not have the frame rail pump, you only have the in tank pump. Did you happen to hit a big bump when the truck died? You may have tripped the inertia switch.

My closest neighbor used to have a 1990 F-250 and it did not have an in frame fuel pump. It seems to be pretty common knowledge on these forums that the in frame fuel pump was eliminated at least through 1996. Your 2002 has an in frame pump? As far as 1997 and newer I wouldn't know.

The 1990 E-150 had the HP frame pump on the frame but not the F-150.

it has an in the tank pump. I dropped the tank and ended up replacing the rusty old one. The pump when hanging would run then trun it 180 degree and it would not. I fussed with it and tried to make the wires act intermittent and could not do it. any way put it all back together and it is running ok now..
