A Chevy will almost always hold its value better than a Ford.

2000 Ford F150 XLT Super Cab Short Bed 4D

Excellent $7,925

Good $7,295

Fair $6,455

Comparable chevy same year xlt vs silverado both in good condition

2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup Extended Cab Short Bed

Excellent $8,530

Good $7,865

Fair $6,960

I believe that Silverado is chevys top of the line, if I had Fords Lariat or King Ranch or Harley Davidson or Lighting..... they are all higher grade than mine and would stomp the best Chevy can through at it in resale.

don't hate him for saying something that can easily be backed up and was thought of intelligently... If you bluebook identical Chevy vs ford of same caliber, he is correct.

but seriously.. gtfo

just tell your mom, well I don't have the kinda of money you want.

Let her put it up for sale for 6-7k or what ever she wants. No one will buy it.

Buzz, I'm sorry but if you were my son I'd whoop your ***.

First of all, your Mom got ripped off buying the truck originally. That's the 1st thing. Second, it is your duty and responsibility to maintain whatever it is you are driving, whether you paid for it or not.

Lastly, understand this. Until you are a minimum of 18 years of age, your name cannot be on any title paperwork in any state, which means even IF your mom did decide to sell it to you for $1500, you still can't legally own it. If you really hate your mom that much, then move out. Leave the truck with her, and take the bus everywhere. It's a tough life out in the adult world, are you sure you can hang?

I think it'd be amusing to see a punk kid like yourself try.

I don't think you need to be talking like this on a public forum. Grow up.

Lemme guess... your kid brother hacked into your account again.

You sound like an immature moron who's unwilling to take sensible advice from ppl with more life experience and more maturity. You'll learn one day, and by the looks of it, it'll be the hard way.

Thats how I had to learn.

To become old and wise you must first be young and dumb.

Well I sure aint young anymore, just waiting on the wise part.
