Only have high on the heater...

Not sure what the problem is here, but the only fan setting that works on the heater in my 93 f150 is high. the other setting do nothing at all. Just wondering if there is a known issue with a certin part or anything I can look at first?

Sounds like your resistor is bad. About 1.5" X 3" and has wires going from it to the blower fan. Should be on the box containing the blower fan.

Mine's the same way with the motor off(either low for the first 3 speeds, or high on the 4th), but with it running it works like normal. I don't care, it works.

But if there's NOTHING on anything but high, ya, the resistor is bad.

Well its the resistor for sure... I couldn't get the harness off of it with out alot of work, turns out one of the wires melted down and fused the connector to the resistor, so I need both now! I am guessing the best place to get the connector is a local junk yard, unless Ford sells it cheap. Thanks alot guys

Nobody sells anything cheap, you ought to know that.

Plan a stop at a local junkyard, don't pay more than $5 fot the parts. Yell and insult the manager if necessary. Doing that I got (what they said) was $50 worth of parts for $20 including a mirror, that metal cap with the red circle on it for a wheel, several lug nuts, and a bunch of those plastic things that hold the door panel on I swiped when he wasn't looking.

Just to update this for anyone wondering.. I found the resistor at Napa for $23, I also just cut off the connector and used crimp on spade connectors and some Di-electric grease and I now have all the fan settings!!!! Thanks again guys!
