Tire size question...

I am ready to replace the tires on my '90 f250 4X4 with BFG A/T's. Does anyone know how big of a tire I can stick on there? Stock size is 235/85/R16, and that is what I have on there right now. Speeder, if you are out there, I know you would probably know the answer. Any help would be appreciated, as well as tire reccommendations if you have any.

Thanks,
Hunter

The Broncos and F150s fit 33x12.5s no lift, but the 2 and 350s im not sure. Poke around IDI section at www.oilburners.net and see what they like for their trucks.

Thanks for the link Adrianspeeder....I knew you would be able to point me in the right direction. I have done quite a few searches and haven't found much on the subject. I found the website for a tire dealer that said it would hold 305's with the original 16" wheels. How big is a 305 in relation to the 33" tire?

Thanks again for the help,
Hunter

A 305 will be a little bit wider than a 33x12.50. As far as diameter, you need to know the other numbers to figure the size, since it is metric.

Also forgot on your body style you will have to remove your front bumper and space it out with some washers for clearance maybe. 92-96 for sure.

Or trim the inside corners. Either method will work fine. Knowing Adrian though, he would probably die before daring to cut into the factory bumpers.
