I'll be honest with my fellow conservatives, I think they all suck. Every one of them. I don't have a horse in this race. The way I see this primary is, it's like when I was in school. In gym class. I was a dork. Not so good at sports. I was always one of the ones picked last. Sad? Not really. I'm a grown up now and it doesn't mean a thing to me at this point. The thing is, we're picking from the least favorable bunch. They all suck, like the kids that I stood in line with in gym class. This isn't dodge ball or soccer though.

I'd rather see some star atheletes for us to choose from. That's not what we have. What we do have is a line of guys who have maybe half a chance of removing the current occupier. Half a chance! That sucks!

Like I said, I don't have a horse in this race. I'm not cheer leading for any one of them. That being said, I have to believe that I have a decent future ahead of me. I cannot imagine that will be possible if our current occupier is reelected. I'm going to have to choose from the line up of the least appealing people in the hopes that enough other people will see the necessity in removing the chains that are currently binding us, our current representatives.

I'm not going to take a part in the bickering and bashing among republicans and conservatives. Obama is hurting our county. I don't want this country to get used to the pain. The healing process will take time. That time will allow us to hone our skills as voters, so that we can choose better representatives than the ones that are offered up to us these days.

witt,

The Presidential election is in fact fifty races.
Massachussetts has been a democractic stonghold since 1928, except two runs for Ike and two for the Gipper.
Obama carried Mass with 62% in '08.

Take solace in the fact that it's out of your hands.

As far as Romney being from Massachusetts, remember Gore did not carry Tennessee in 2000, if he had he would have been President.

^^^Good reply. I feel pretty much the same. BUT, we need someone to shred Obama during a debate. Newt is a PRO debater. But will he do us right?????

I am painfully aware that it's out of my hands.

I've met many good, kind, giving, like-minded people over the past few years. For a while it felt like this type of person was more common than I'd previously realized. I've come back to reality though. There are way more people who don't have a clue about what's going on, than there are people involved in preserving our country.

I learned a lot from the discussions we all had during the previous occupier of the White House. I learned from the discussions that I'd had with my more "liberal"friends. (Well, they were...) I wish I'd had the wisdom to be critical when being critical was necessary. I guess I need to accept the fact that others are going to be niave, and may at some point see the light. I'm just pretty worried that if we keep moving in the direction that we're going now, the phaze of life that I'm entering will be exponentially more difficult. I mean, beyond reasonably difficult.

I keep thinking these are just sacrificial candidates to put up against Obama, same thing as when Mondale was put up against Ronnie in 1984, by the Democrats. Mondale took <5 states for electoral votes I seem to recall.

The next 4 years are going to be like beating a rented ox for the POTUS.
Why waste a serious GOP POTUS candidate, that could actually get something done, just to be media fodder for failed programs and a run away budget / deficit ?

I hate to say it, but the closer we get to NOV, the more I think we are stuck with Obama for another 4 years.
The media does not want him to be viewed as a 1 term train wreck like Carter, and the Dem party is going to pull out every thing they can to put up against a GOP candidate.
