Still a mystery

I tried to download, upload, insert a picture, but couldn't figure out how to do it. I opened up an album, and put a picture in it, but can't get it to attach to this post. When I go down to manage attachments, it says:

Attach Files
Attachments have been disabled on the F150online.com forums. To add images to your posts, please use our galleries or an image hosting service and the forum [IMG] tag.

What ever that means.

go start an account at photobucket.com and upload the pictures there. Then you can copy and paste the image code link from the picture off of their site and put it in your post and boom...instant picture. That's what I do.

I shot it. He is 9, I'm thinking next year will be his year to shoot. He has been going since he was 6. It's funny when I was shooting this deer he says I cannot stop shaking.

Nice buck man! I'm getting ready to start my year tomorrow. Being at school has hindered my hunting a little haha, but so far my dad has taken a nice 9 pointer and we still have at least 3 nice shooters on the property. Hopefully I can get at least one of them.

I was 9 when i shot my first deer. about a 40 yard shot, dropped it. I was excited, and dad was surprised i actually hit it! killed my first buck on the same land all of 40 yards from that spot the next year!

Well guys I bought him a youth 20/22 last year for christmas. I shot the 20Gauge barrell with one hand and barly moved my hand, so I thought he would be fine. I left him with the stock on his shoulder and when I looked back it had dropped to the middle of his arm and before I could say wait he was already pulling the trigger. Needlees to say he cried a little and had a bruise for a week. He didn't want to shoot the 20 anymore so he has been practicing with the 22. I getting ready to get him back to the 20 but I know he is going to be really nervous, so we will see what happens.

I started off with a 22/410 when I was 4, then got a single shot 20 the next year, then a 243 for deer the next. I'm not sure if hunting in your state is maily rifle or shotgun, but it sounds like he would be a good candidate for a youth 243 with recoil managed loads. I know my single shot 20 packs a punch for such a small gun, and getting my 243 was a relief.

No Rifles where I live. I will look into a 243. Thanks for the info.

Good for you....going to school even in deer season. Several of my students have already had 2 or 3 absences due to hunting season. Thinking about taking a day for a trip out to the "wilds" myself.

i started with a little .22 chipmunk! shortest little gun i've ever seen... then i moved up to a .410. shot a few birds with that, then got my 20. i swore id never have a 12. Well, i have 3... get him back into the 20. buy some blanks if you can, and have him get the shouldering down, then upgrade to a 2 3/4 birdshot of choice!

Sandlerman, It's hard not to come home since it's less than an hour away, but I'll do my "studying" for exams here at home.

I too started out with a simple savage .22. Moved on up to a .243 and swore I wouldn't ever get another .22...Now I have 4 .22's including that first one haha, along with a few other goodies. I never got into shotguns that much, one 12 is good enough for me.
