then it'd probably need to be custom fabbed for a winch mount to work on it. is this for your 97 or 04 body style?

Warn sells hidden winch packages that are around 1200 bucks. Don't know if they make it for your truck or not don't know what year you have. Otherwise just buy a front reciever hitch and winch in a craddle that way yÔu can keep you brush guard and still have a winch when you need it... You should be able to get a front hitch a craddle and winch for about 7-800 or less on craigslist...

Add a hidden hitch in the front then mount the winch on a hitch so you can move it from front to rear depending on where you need it. That's what I did with my ranger and it worked awesome. I did make a bumper though to house the winch on the hitch, but I'm sure you could mount the hitch in a place that would work to have the winch behind the front bumper.

Without the winch or light bar.

I might just have to get the winch and see if a shop can fab me up some sort of front mounting system.

So if I got both I could mount the receiver to the front of the truck, then mount the winch mounting thing into the receiver then mount my winch on that and be set?

Yes, you could do that.

Warn makes winches, bumpers, mounting systems, etc. We offer a product called the Multi-Mount. This allows you to put up to a 9,500 lb. winch on the carrier, and use it in either a front reciever or rear Class III hitch. Plus, if you don't want it on the truck, just take it off.

As previously mentioned, we offer a number of ways to mount a WARN Winch. There's the Trans4mer System and the Hidden Kit, too

Ever lugged a full size winch around before? Try it before buying the components for a multi mount kit.

ill take pics of my 97 ORP with it hidden winch mount... The fair lead comes out right under the bumper.. On the 97 you lose the use of the factory tow hooks, unless you buy longer bolts.

I just installed a Warn Trans4mer setup on my truck. Now if I could just scrape together the cash for a winch. This sucker is solid. Ionically I have one of these mounts for a 97-98 F150 sitting at a friend's house in TX. Going to pick it up next weekend. Brand new never installed. Just bolted together for the listing pictures on Craigslist.

I could make you a good deal on that. I'm pretty sure I have some boxes I could break it down and box it up to ship. Just need to add a Winch carrier or receiver plate. Both of which you could get direct from Warn or have a local fab shop make.

This mount was only designed to handle up to a 9k winch. 99-03 got a redesign to handle up to an 11k winch.

I have a pdf copy of the directions to mount this if you want to see a copy of them. send me an email address and I'll foward them to you.
