Sorry I totally forgot about this thread. I just decided to do this to my current F150 and I sold the old one. I did purchase a small lift kit for it, a winch, and new nitto tires.

Listen to trimble. That being a 97 Will have torsen bars not a coil over susp. like in the 04and newer truck. I'd say go body lift cause with body lift you can fit 35's easy. And you can also fit 35 with a 4or6 in susp. lift but that will be out of your range. Size of the tire is what gives the real ground clerance not the lift. For the winch you will need something at least 10Kor more. Weather it has cable or rope is a personal pref. not a need.
