Has anyone heard the song "Mud Digger (Remix)" by Lenny Cooper and Colt Ford? It explains why people want muddy trucks. "...your girl wanna be with us. Now I heard she said she want a mud digger..." The rest of the song is very good too, just wanted to prove what everyone else was saying. I don't have a f150 yet, but hopefully soon and hopefully I'll find somewhere to get it muddy.

I've heard the original by colt, never heard the remix but im sure its the same lyrics. I just enjoy coming out from off roading and instead of having a clean truck with a muddy undercarriage, just have mud every where , have to clean everything any way mite as well get it dirty.

And you always have fun getting the truck muddy

He calls it country but not even close, not a rap fan so got to agree with you guys here. I just dont get why a bunch of decent country singers have "country raped" along with him

I used to go "mudding" with the intent to coat the truck. Did it a few times until I went on some more techincal trails. THAT is what I've come to like. I've come to like it so much, a buddy of mine is helping me rebuild an old dirt bike (I dont have any experience in motorcycles so it is more of him showing me ). Then I can hit some really good trails. I've got tons of experience from mountain biking but bicycle parts are getting expensive.

Heck, I've been above the hubs in mud and my truck is ONLY 2wd. Alot comes down to driving and knowing your limits before you cross them. I've driven friend's 4wd trucks off road but I still liked switching it to 2wd whenever I could, I like the challenge...and showing off.

I also think it is just fine to have the truck dirty, doesn't have to be coated in mud but a little dirt doesn't hurt. Separates us from the many jacked up mall crawlers who talk it but need 4wd for a gravel road.

Colt Ford does have at least one song that is actually more country than rap, which is not too bad of a song. It's called Ride Through the Country...more country than rap. Like you guys, I am for sure not a rap fan, but I was just giving an example of what everyone was saying about muddy trucks.

Amen, alot of lifted trucks and jeeps don't ever see mud these days it's a shame. I rarely use 4x4 but I like having it just incase. Nice truck by the way

I've heard ride through the country that ones not too bad, colt has some country lyrics Im just not to big on the rap stuff, mud diggers sounds like the idiots who are on every other radio station

I agree. I do have a question though. Until I get a lift kit, I plan on cranking the torsion bars to level it instead of a leveling kit. I have read that torsion keys put excessive strain on the cv joints and other things. Will cranking the torsion bars do that too?

Longshot, that is a nice truck. Where did you get your grille guard from? I guarantee you that in 2wd you can go through more stuff than most lifted jeeps and trucks out there today. It really is a shame that people are just lifting it to look good.
