Can't seem to mud cover the 2000 f150
Get you a good ****** rope with out hooks get the ones with looped ends
Dont do what my 16yrold cousin did.... 'I know how to drive' *burys toyota pickup in 4wd* i then get in the truck cranked it up and drove it outta the hole then back threw the hole in 2wd... having a 4wd is only part of it... knowing how to drive is the main point...

I definately agree with you there, and Im ordering a good rope off truck addons, this being a good place to ask........... Will the 25 ft max breaking strength of 10,000 pounds max vehicle strength of 5000 be enough? That size comes with hooks for like 20 bucks, 15,000 and 20,000 breaking strength are like 42, I guess its worth the extra cash right?
Mines rated for 20,000 and is 3" thick i nearly broke it last time i snatched on a 2500hd that was buried when i get a new one its gonna be 30,000 4" thick but again Ive had the hooks break off and then they turn into a bullet when you ****** and they break get the Looped ended ****** rope if it breaks the loop you dont have any fly metal to worry about!!

Im going to tug boat rope thats about as thick as my arm. The have loops that are weaved or braided in that are "supposed" to be stronger than the rest of the strap, I was told the strap will break in the middle long before the loop gives. Not sure what they are rated too but they are thick and heavy and are used to pull ships into port.
Only problem with them is they are heavy dry, get them wet and muddy and they can be a pain to use. Thats why ill still carry the 20k pound ****** straps for smaller stucks or lighter vehicles im recovering.
good luck
wheel spacers will help alot but IMO i would go with new wheels with a lot of off set, i have wheels with off set and i have 2 inch spacers....i rarely go off roading any more and i still cover my truck in mud even by just going down a dirt road cause my tires stick out about 2 1/2 to 3 inches out side my fender wells there are some decent places to go up in north jersey but nothing special my buddies mud pit would get every truck on this forum stuck guarenteed. here is a pic of my buddies dodge in his pit on when we had a drought and we didnt get rain for months the tires on the dodge are 35s and are almost all the way under

id give that a shot, doesnt look too bad. But like i said theres about 6 SAS'd F150's here one is Cummins powered on 44's, another one is currently getting 5 tons and 57" tires. You also have harley's truck that is getting 2.5 tons and ag tires or michelins, then you have my truck that is on 44" TSL's and getting big block transplant right now. So im sure theres atleast 4 trucks on here that will make it though that little hole... even if it just rained

Ill show you guys some real mud pics once my truck is done.
last time i was out i broke the loop off a 20,000# ****** strap. So id say you will at least need that. My truck is a good bit heavier than yours and I was being snatched by a maniac.

Just goes to show everything can break. lol
I use a 6" strap from TSC. Ive had it for about 2-3 years now and it hasnt failed yet.
My buddy just broke a barge rope like the one your talking about. Snatching on a buried f150 with his 250 powerstroke. 4 high to th efloor for about 60 feet. Hit him around 60mph. On the 2nd pull the rope snapped, came back and totalled the f150. Went through the tailgate, put a huge dent in the toolbox, and hit the roof where the back window meets, putting a huge V it it and breaking the window.

I want the strap the Construction Developement truck uses in the video of him snatching that dodge out...
The kid was stuck for around 4 hours and they broke every oher strap they had...
Im not gonna say i could idle threw it but id bet money that i could put my 77 stepside threw it...
I just got a strap rated for 20,000 pounds. Hopefully that does for the trucks and jeeps Id pull out.
