Can't seem to mud cover the 2000 f150
 

For starters, I don't have great mud pits in Jersey near me. Mostly some semi muddy trails. Having alot of trouble covering my truck in mud.

I mostly keep it in 2 wheel drive since it's slinging mud more, 4 just seems to hug the ground to good for what im doing. Any one agree?

Trying to get bigger wheels and possibly spacers soon I'm hoping this will help.
I burn out through a decent mud hole and only get mud under the fenders, I used to cover the windshield, sides everything with my old explorer :mad:

If anybody has some good NJ spots that would be awesome, or Ill post pics if I break the curse

sometimes you have to hit the holes fast. but you really need some wide wheels and some good mud tires.

Good tires and if your only in 2wd and they dont stick out your only gonna coat the inner fenders...

Yea, these holes are small, 4 wd pulls through it to easy Ill try a little speed too.
Year dont matter I Love mud covered trucks, any one kniw the cons of a 1-1.5" spacer? it would put my wheels just a bit past the fenders.

And Mudterrain- why what, if its about not getting mud in general, I plan to have some great mud covered pics after a pine barrens trip

wheel spacers will help alot but IMO i would go with new wheels with a lot of off set, i have wheels with off set and i have 2 inch spacers....i rarely go off roading any more and i still cover my truck in mud even by just going down a dirt road cause my tires stick out about 2 1/2 to 3 inches out side my fender wells there are some decent places to go up in north jersey but nothing special my buddies mud pit would get every truck on this forum stuck guarenteed. here is a pic of my buddies dodge in his pit on when we had a drought and we didnt get rain for months the tires on the dodge are 35s and are almost all the way under http://i33.tinypic.com/33mohn4.jpg

I understand wanting to go wheelin, buy why try to make your truck more muddy than Necessary to make it through a section? Just seems like more cleanup work to me and ****tier looking paint.

Why you ask? Because some people like the look of it all covered in mud. Especially the chicks :thumbsup:. And when youre mudding, there is nothing like looking out the window and windshield and seeing mud go everywhere. To the op, get wider wheels. This is my 01 on stock tires and rims.

Just hit the hole fast, and if you can get into a huge hole(or pit) stick it in 4hi and turn so that the tires will throw it out.

It's hard to get mud everywhere if the tires aren't poking out of the fenders. My truck doesn't get that dirty, but my Jeep does.

AMEN ! to renoved also, you get exactly were Im coming from here. I go offroading like 4 days a week, just a little quick trail riding mostly, but it feels real accomplishing to look in the mirror and just see mud, mud covered trucks are the way to go, and x2 to the chicks love it to, beause my girlfriend even likes muddy trucks :D

and even in stock your truck is 10x muddier then mine is stock, Ill find a good hole eventually

Mud Digger- thats a pretty insane hole, are alot of those holes open to anybody or are they on private land? Also I don't know anything about off set tires/wheels, or much about spacers, going to build up some info here I hope

Really? just find a good power or pipeline trail haha. The second pic is from me mudding at a place(we call it the industrial park) where they put in a road and these water drainage areas I guess to build in. Well with this economy there of course isnt any activity down there haha. So we mud in one of the big drainage areas. Ill get a pic of it sometime. The first pic is at my house, but we went riding just around fields after it had rained. And from experience, girls like muddy trucks, and older guys who can appreciate a Ford truck like them clean haha.

The ptwo best places right around my house are along power lines, I consider sneaking behind my high school there is an old traail but don't want to deal with the cops

there's just no other feeling then to be covered in mud with your buddies.......bahahahahah.
