Receiver winch cradle

My dad gave me a Ramsey winch so I picked up one of these:

Not Bad considering the price, cheapest one I found.

Unfortunately it's only a 8000k, I realize this isn't really big enough but for free I'll take it

I also have a smittybuilt 8000k on my Jeep TJ.

Hey man, if it works that's great.... You'll have to update us on how well it works. I am curious to see myself. Im trying to save up for a winch, and if I can get away with a smaller one, I may go for that.

To make that 8000k worth it on your truck, all you'll need is a ****** block (doubles the winch capacity) and a longer winchline (look into synthetic rope).

Hitch installed today, still got to mount the winch. I was able to get hold of quick connect battery cables long enough to reach the back hitch too.

Receiver skid plate

Winch cradle

Roller fairlead attached

Quick connect cables

Winch mounted

Looks good. I wish I could find a front reciever hitch that would fit flush like that one - it's hard to find one that will look right with my body lift. I thought about maybe mounting ine such that the reciever comes out of the front lower air induction hole on the bumper.... Any thoughts?

Nope, doesn't seem to be much available or affordable. Maybe find somebody to fab a custom one.
