I find out exactly the "terminology" of what happened today with the truck. My buddy who works there is pretty good, and I do trust him, so I know that he tried his best. Without knowing exactly what was wrong it's hard to explain on here, so I'll update you all later today. I have Mercury warranty group which is supposed to be pretty good, but apparently they don't cover this emmisions part. When I go pick it up though I'll have to talk with him; usually he bumps labor down for me, so I'm hoping that he does this time.

SHinestix...thanks for the resizing. Looks good, and I believe I set it as my sig, so if it's still big after I post this, then i'll try again!

I take it to quicklane in tampa. They are a subsidiary of Ford and do most of Fords aftermarket stuff (also works on other cars as well). Once I get it back I'll have to see the exact damage. THey already had the entire bed of the truck off, so I couldn't tell them I'm taking it to somewhere else. We'll see what I can do after its fixed though...maybe just suck it up and pay for it??? Thanks thgouh.

Bed off makes me think it's the evap canister on your fuel tank got some water in it. That's the only thing on my old F-150 that was back that far. Gator does ALL our fleet work, we buy over 60 trucks a year from them on average (F-550s which run a bit over 100K w/ our body on them) so they work with us. Next time you have a problem let me know. They are by far the best w/ trucks in the area. I've been to both ernie haire and bill currie (SP?) and they suck when it comes to working on trucks.

As far as warranties go you get what you pay for on them, I'd get a Ford ESP plan w/ the works, only thing it doesn't cover is brake pads, rotors and tires (who does?). You can go 100K miles out. I think the 7yr/100K bump to bumper plan for our expediton 4x4 (more expensive then a f-150 as far as pricing on the plan goes) was 1100.

FYI- emissions parts are covered by law up to 80k.
Here's a copy: http://www.epa.gov/oms/consumer/warr95fs.txt
