No more off-roading...

Well, I think this may be it for me. My truck is still in the shop, 3rd day now and I thought that my warranty would cover it. My emmisions sensor went out (got water in the vent emssions something or the other). My buddy works at the ford dealer and he usually will run everything through the warranty (even though he knows the mudding that I do). Apparently the warranty does not cover the emissions stuff. So after all said and done we're looking at around $1000. I get that tbill he day after I just bought a $1200 zero turn lawnmower. Think it's a good time to win the lottery. I'm gonna start fishing again as my hobby instead of mudding. Maybe down the road I'll try and get an old bronco or an ATV to play with. $35000 trucks are too expensive to fix.

what sensor and why is it not covered under warranty? The dealership has to prove that you are abusing it. Mud is not abuse, it is a truck after all. Let me know what dealership it's at I can probably help you if it's at gator.

By the way, resize your signature. Its way to big. There is a 500x100 maximum. Its a rule now.

Calm yourselves down....You guys get this worked up over something like this I hate to see you get really mad. Still working on re-sizing it as I"m not that knowledgeable about that. Geez...I thought I was going through a tough time, but Life must suck if you all get that pissed off over someone else's big sig. And that's good that you start cursing on here. Way to go...you must be cool now! Typing in all caps and cursing sure does do the trick...to your friends maybe!!!

Hmm. No one is getting upset, it's just annoying to have to look at some huge *** signature. Shines was just joking, get used to it, the internets is serious business. If you want me to help you resize a picture, just send me a PM. However a picture like that is going to be hard to resize and still be able to make it out. Rules are rules though.

Yeah I dunked mine in a very deep hole. I had to claim insurance on it, it was so bad. I haven't done anything remotely heavy since then. Fishing is picking up with good weather and tides. I'll be respooling my Penns real soon.

I didn't realize it was a sig. I thought he was showing what messed up his truck.

It could have been much worse (engine, tranny etc). But you still learned the hard way.

Once i finish my truck this summer, im buying an old 1970s chevy or ford short bed truck and building it strictly for wheeling (would use the '77 we have on the ranch, but it stays there for ranch work).

Isn't there an extended warranty for emmissions stuff, or am I dreaming?
