mid CA off road trip?
Not bringing it down. Not enough time to get all the way up there just to tow it down. Bummer. Dunno when the lift is going in, prolly not for a while. It does just fine how it is now.

So, any of the more local guys hear about the recent rollover ??
I heard a Jeep rolled about 250 yards or more down a steep ravine. Killed 2 I believe ? This was at Frank Raines in recent days.
Anyone know more ?????

Roll cage on the zuki
Just got the new iroks on, and they look effen sweet
. They ride surprisingly smooth around town. However, the freeway is much different. I'm gonna have to get a steering stabilizer, because the steering wheel has some serious vibration. Noise is not bad at all on the freeway. It sounds sort of like a bee. Sorry no pix until tomorrow. I know i should have waited, but i figured id tease you all anyway

Neither can I, but over on pirate4x4 a member of the couple's 4x4 group let us all know a little more. Details are still not out yet. Here is a link to the thread:

Thats where I found it. I am sure more will chime in later in the evening
Right on Big. Glad you like them ! Stoked to see em. So, how much trimming did you need to do ??

I haven't done any yet. I definately need to trim the front valance and the inner fender. It only rubs the valance a tad when i'm turning while stopping. And as for the inner fender there is no rubbing yet, but the minute i go offroading i know it will rub. I was going to crank the coils about an 1" but think i'm going to wait and see how it does on the trip. Hopefully i'll get away with being able to leave it as is.
I just read it, thanx for the link MT. Wow, that is sad. The few times i have been offroading i am always careful on those trails high up. My wife almost started crying the one time i took her wheeling at hollister. She thought there would just be some mud and stuff she had no idea we would be up high on these trails with large drop offs. Needless to say she doesn't ever want to go wheelin with me again.
I don't post there very often but that hits close to home. God bless the couple. I am trying to think of anywhere this could happen. The steepest hill is the one in the beginning of my video that is damn difficult to get up. But you would never try to turn around on that, maybe it's out on the dirt trails there are a few long steep grades but like I mentioned before you wouldn't want to turn around on them, I always ask my friends to get out if I think there is a chance I could roll the truck turning around.

ALWAYS. Period. Whenever in a "scary" situation ALWAYS ask any passenger's to exit the vehicle when its safe. Its one thing to take your own life in your hands, a whole different story with someone trusting you enough to ride next to you.
Not saying the Ludwig's did anything wrong, **** happens. I was not there, nor do I know the terrain they were in. Its hard to say anything about this case, but I am sure it was a truly honest mistake, or mis-calculation that ended in tragedy. This is just a terrible story, and hurts, even with out knowing them. We have lost some real good people in recent years to the sport, and now two more. Its heart wrenching.
Dave Halabuk, Jamie White, Dennis and Linda Ludwig, and many, many more (who i appologize for not knowing their name, but these are the ones I knew, or just heard about):
I would wish you all to rest in peace, but being a fellow wheeler, I am sure all of you that are gone, would much rather being "getting it" forever in the mighty Off Road Kingdom. Fawking GET IT. God bless.
Like mSal said, learn from all of them.
