Stock truck even worth tryin to mud with?

couple of my buds want to go out to a friends farm mud pit and do a little four wheeling. but bein as i do not have really anything, i was wondering if it is worth it to go or not. any tips on wheelin a stock truck.

ull be fine i think just read the pit and if u get stuck the thing that used to help me was turn the front wheels to the side and gas it cus it gives it better traction, just becareful because when it does it takes off.
and have fun man

I would suggest staying in 4 hi for the wheel spin. Also I remember reading about someone breaking parts by putting the truck in 4lo and turing too sharp. If there is water check the depth before you go in I know from experience it sucks to sink your truck in water. Try as hard as you can to stay out of the bigger trucks ruts as well.

well if a 2wd goes in and gets stuck but doesn't destroy his truck than you should be fine. Have fun cleaning the mud off when you are done.

It sounds like a big place in open field to cut some dounuts. You should be fine. And if you get stuck in someones ruts it wont be a big deal as long as they are around to pull you out.

http://www.oly4x4.com/procomp.htm

The procomp straps on this page seem to have gotten good reviews from other members. If all else fails find a Tractor Supply store.

yup, like everyone says, you'll be fine. I did it many times with my truck. make sure you have plenty of recovery equipment (shovels, axes, TOOLS, compressed air helps, straps, maybe a "come-along" or another device you can help pull your truck out with. Bring a highlift jack, food and cooler, and WATER. Wheeling prepared is always a fun adventure and makes getting stuck half the fun. Goin out like a moron with out the right tools, getting stuck, then messing up your rig trying to get it out, then having to limp home isn't as much fun (still a blast to me). Maybe convince a buddy with a winch to come out and play ? and above all, you gotta bring a camera ! Take it easy, check your mud pits before going through them (either get out and poke with a stick or have someone else drive thru first ! ) and be smart! Have fun bud.
