Yeah, you'll want to get off at the lower exit. There is a Mobil truck stop there and its the last place to fuel before the park.

I don't post much, but i'd love to go with you guys. I'm in chambersburg about an hour south of rausch. I won't take my 150 but my ranger on 35's does ok, also close friend has a samuri on 36's that wants to go. If its cool we will both go.

MikeZ - You and your friend are more than welcome to join us. I'm stoked already!

DirtMerchant - I'm sure the Dodge will do fine, as long as its owner is ok with potential trail damage - especially scratches. Long wheelbase trucks are unlikely to get out without some bumps, bruises, pinstriping, and almost certainly some running board damage...

Another Rausch Creek shot:

The only time I was there, the majority of the trails we rode looked like this:

I do not by any means know the whole park, so there might be more mud than what I saw, but even if there is, there is a good chance it will be frozen when we go.

Personally, I really love frollicking in the mud, but the most mechanical damage occurs in mud and water, so I try to mix it in with a healthy diet of rocks.

Plus a couple more holes. So bring your hip waders to hook your junk up to the strap.

4.2trimble your eyes tell no lies! they are holdin up very well dispite my driving lol, ive put nearly 10k on them an there still holdin up strong. theyve not let me down yet! although i didnt go through the above posted spots lol...
they did get me through lake christy!

as for the ram, he will do just fine indeed...but like me...black will show every signature rausch puts on there lol, itll be tricky gettin through some trees tho... i barely fir through some spots...an im sure as a 3500 hes a bit taller than me...

when i went, we found a good bit of mud, along with a fair share of rocks... but still enough mud to have fun in.

The park is probably 80%+ rocks with some muddier trails. Mainly for mud its just the few mud pits. To get to most of these mud holes you will have to crawl through quite a few rock trails to get there. With that kind of truck you're going to want to stick mainly to green trails, as is most anyone with a full size. There are a few blues you can run, but obviously with the harder trails the chance for damage goes up.

You can take me off the list for going. I was hoping to have to only be in Grand Island, NE for 3 weeks starting the 21st of this month. Come to find out yesterday that they scheduled me for a 2nd 3 week trip to start end of Feb Sigh work sucks. Its kept me from wheeling for 6-7mo now.

well, i wish there was more mud there...but i found enough to entertain myself last time. an i plan on making an attempt at the milkshake.... but frog hole...no lol...

we did a couple blues last time and they are rather trickey to navigate with a full size....the frog hole trail took me about 30-40mins alone to get through. lotta rocks an tight turns that ended up bein like a 90 point turn lol...with the lockers off upfront it may have been easier tho...i didnt think to turn them off so it would be easier...
for a good muddy day, pray for rain most of the week before....but also remember...that makes the mud holes even deeper!

sorry to hear that powerstoke73 you can always just fly back sat morning an go back to ne sat night ya know!

Been there, done that, and it sucks! Unfortunetly while I'm out there I'll be working minimum 6 days a week. With the schedule that we're going to have it'll probably end up 7 days a week
