Marshall Creek on Grapevine lake is pretty much the only legal place to go in the metroplex, but I think they might have just closed it off to trucks, as there are tons of MX guys out there. Um, your best bet is to drive to barnwell mtn, about 2 hours east of DFW. Of course, there are probably a bunch of illegal places still around for a few mud holes but I don't know of any, haven't been in Dallas/high school for about four years now. I would meet yall up somewhere if it was close...

i have been over to grapevine lake, i don't know if it was marshall creek--is that right at the end of the road near Bass Pro Drive? i went over there to get off the pavement and test out my transfer case, there's actually a couple of decent little climbs if you go all the way down to the water...i passed on that since it is so overgrown, didn't want to scratch up my paint!

i've looked at barnwell mtn online, i'm thinking of planning a trip

No, marshall creek is off of trophy club road I believe. You'd know it if you were there, you have to pay an entrance fee.

I live about an hour south of DFW in a town called Glen Rose. What we have been doing since it hasn't rained is just drive down river and come across a few sand bars and good little hills, but not worth driving an hour or two.

A friend I work with grew up there and has told many a story about the riverbed romps. That was like 30 years ago too, I guess things are still small town there.

if yall live in the middle of the metroplex off of I-30 and cooks lane in arlington/east fort worth there is a real good spot to run your atv dirt bike or 4x4 its just a couple of acres but it is real fun it had sum steep climbs and is in a central location its ok but not the best but a good place to have a lil fun.
