Before I go having too much fun with something that isn't paid for I wanted to see if these trucks have any parts that are notorious for getting broken while of roading...also if anyone has found some decent skid plates let me know.

So far my only damage is a Torn CV Boot which leaked all the grease out of it.

Yeah..their wallets Actually the only thing that I would be concerned about would be the axles if you are running tires bigger than 35"...

nah ive been offroading a few times, and not really had any probs, just be prepared to clean it really well afterwards. Also I know that the fx4 model has some skid plates that come with the package.

Any specific cause (jumping?). I can't think of any other maneuver that would cause this, my angles should be fine as they are.

Your steering rack will have a chance of snapping in half, mine has as well as another user on here (I'm know there are others). Here is the video of what to watch for. The Tcase doesn't hold up to a ton of abuse...black paint scratches way too easy, but the truck performs very well offroad.

20k miles and some modest off-roading and mudding. Nothing has broke yet and I've bottomed out and taken some pretty good thumps.

I have the stock skid plates and they have served me well....I'd hate to see my transfer case without it when the one rock and I did battle.
