F-150 with solid axle on 49's

I recently saw a pic of a red 99-03 f150 with a solid front axle and sporting 49" iroks. I believe this pic was in fourwheeler magazine, but I can't say for sure. Has anyone else seen the truck I am talking about, and if so, could you post the pic if you can? Not like I could ever afford to do anything like that, I just wanted to have another look at the truck. Any feedback appreciated.

Lame is right, I would at least expect to see a Neon or Focus stuck in the treads of those tires.

I believe when I saw it in the magazine it was seeing a little offroad action, but I don't think in mud. Anyway, it is a nice truck to drool over and dream about having or having this done to your truck, don't you think?

Not really. Where I live, that truck wouldnt be able to make it off the road. Big trucks are okay, but they're only good for mud or baja, not the serious rock four-wheeling I do.

Well a truck like this is perfect for the east texas mud in which I encounter. Yes, I could do without all of the graphics and dress up accents, but I would like to have the rest of the mods on this truck installed on mine. As long as I didn't have to pay for it, it would be great!

FYI Fabritech makes a kit for this conversion. Their web site has pictures of a coil spring set up but I believe that they also make a leaf spring kit.

I think 40's are the biggest tire you can go with when using the fabritech kit. The setup on this particular truck has to be totally custom.

It would be just as functional as a smaller F-150, especially on rock four wheeling. It looks like a custom 4 link system, but I can't really see much underneath, so I don't wanna say for sure, but I believe it is all custom, and nicely done. I'd like to see IFS get more respect, I want to see someone who uses heavy duty CV joints and doesn't take the easy way out by swapping to a solid front axle, anybody could chop up a couple of trucks, but I want to see what the stock looks like when it's upgraded instead of just changed to a completely different setup. Nice truck, btw!

Get rid of the graphics, paint it black, and give it to me! I love it.
