Drive shaft broke

My driveshaft
recent snapped in half and took out the transfer case housing. I have replaced the housing and the driveshaft. Now there is a vibration. Looking further into it I’ve noticed that the transmission extension housing is
also cracked between the transfer case and transmission. Ordered a new one already. Would this cause my vibration and can I replace this part. It’s a 2007 f150 xlt with 89000 miles on it.
please help.

More than likely. Either way you need to fix it.

Kitchenboys, welcome to the forum. I merged your two threads because we've found that multiple threads on a common topic lead to confusing responses that can waste your time or cost you money. I edited your first post to add the details left out of it and then tried to clean up the thread. If I've caused confusion, please add any further information you think would help.

You definitely need to get that replaced ASAP. The extension on my 08 broke completely in half and dropped the transfer case down while on the freeway. So be careful if you're still driving it.

When you say took out the housing. Do you mean the rear piece where the drive shaft slides into or the main transfer case housing itself?

The vibration could be from that the cracked housing. It may just be the driveshaft needs to be rotated 180 degrees at the rear end. Did you check the transfer case output shaft to see if it's bent or has any play?
