Tire size change with 4.56
A friend of mine recently bought my old '05 4x4 Flareside. It has a 4.6L, 33x12.5x17's, and 4.56 gears. We were discussing possibly trading wheels/tires. My '12 has 32's, on 18's. Would the RPM increase be too much, going to 32's, on the old truck? Also on a side note, would I need to do a 2" level to fit my old wheels/tires?

Question about gear reduction.
I have a 2005 F-150 with a 5.4 and I run 35 inch BFG's with a 9.75 inch rear end that has 3.55 gears. I know quite a lot about vehicles, but after I saw this post I told myself I need to ask this guy a question to verify what I believe I already know. The truck drinks the hell out of some gas like 10 average but I could probably get 12 on the highway but very reliable. My brother had basically the exact same truck, but his had 3.73 gears and he would get average 13-14 I think 15 on the highway and that was with just some exhaust when he had his programmer he got 17 and 18 on the highway and it towed very well. My truck has exhaust, programmer, and a cold air intake. I believe it's the 3.55 gears lugging the engine in town and highway both. I know that 4.10 gears would really put some more pep in the truck and the fuel mileage would be better along with towing even though towing is decent right now. I want to know after rambling on if I put 4.56 gears, I know in town mileage would go up and it would tow a heck of a lot better with not much effort but when I'm doing 70-80 mph on the highway what do you think the RPMs are going to be when I'm in overdrive? I don't think it will but do you think it'll be revved up a little to high or shouldn't it be about where it was with stock tires and gears?
