Just off the top of my head.

1) full main wiring harness from the 4.6
2) PCM from the 4.6
3) tranny from the 4.6 ( the bell housing bolt pattern on the 4.6 doesn't match the one on the 4.2 and you can't swap the bell housing cuz its an integral part of the tranny.)
4) find a 4.2 donor truck, less $$ and less headaches.

Sell the 4.2 truck and buy a 5.4 equipped one

If you are going to swap to a V8 get a 5.4. You will need at the very least. The PCM, engine and transmission wire harness, engine and transmission, a reprogram for the PATS. Might need rad hoses too.
