'07 Differential Leak?

'07 Differential Leak?

Peaking under the truck today I happened to notice this..

A cause to be concerned? I never figured a leak could come from the front of the diff near the driveshaft.. How would I go about remedying this? Truck just turned 100,000 miles 2 days ago. '07 5.4L flex, 3.73 open, 4wd.

just replace the seal on the pinion shaft

Well I am slightly illiterate to that type of stuff, what all is involved in that replacement?

although he did do things a little different than i did, but its the general idea anyway.

I was kind of afraid that it would involve drive shaft disconnection. Doesn't seem that bad, if I can do it with hand tools I will try it.
