Got The Mag-Hytec Diff Cover On(pics)

So I had a bad axle seal so I figured while I have the old cover off to drain the oil I'll put a new diff cover on. Ended up having both seals changed and the right bearings changed as well.

I bought my Mag-Hytec Rear Differential Cover from truckcustomizers for $247
Mine is the 12 bolt 9.75 for the 2001 F150 4x4 5.4L

Man that cover is as much as the gear set. What makes it so expensive and better. More capacity and cooling fins?

According to Mag-Hytec it holds up to 5 quarts of oil, and cools up to 40*C cooler.

And it's got a magnet inside to collect any metal shavings over time. I got mine not too long ago.

The Mag-Hytec is also alot stronger than the OEM paper cover is. Very good for off road situations.

The fill hole is also a dipstick and the cover's 100x heavier than oem. Only bad thing about it is it's just one more thing to clean.

Looks good

Yes...these covers have ports for temp sensors. Cover is very well worth the money! Clean your axle and surrounding area and it'll make it even better...or worse depending on your outlook..LOL
