Need Help ASAP Going on a trip tomorrow Something is wrong

So last night i started hearing almost like a grinding noice but a very high pitched one coming from my left front tire it only made the sound when i turned to the left so this is worrying me i'm going on a trip to upstate new york tomorrow and i need to know if i just shouldnt go if this is serious also every once in a while my brake pedel would go all the way down to the floor and when i i'm driving it make a clicking noise also when i got home i felt my hubs the left one was very hot and the right side was warm any one know whats going on please i need help

Do a search in the 04-08 forum for IWE. The other possibility is that the caliper is not releasing and you are down to the rivets on the pads.

As long as they aren't worn down, then it is probably the IWE. The 04 was notorious for IWE and brake problems.

Will i be safe driving it 2 1/2 hours to upstate tomorrow?

That depends on what the problem is and how much more damage it does until it gets fixed. No way for me or anyone else to say without knowing exactly what the problem is.

The IWE solenoid is a for lack of a better term, a switch that either allows vacuum or stops vacuum from going to the IWE to either engage or disengage it. In the case of the 04 up IWE's the front hub (IWE) has a default with no vacuum of engaged. Vacuum is sent to it to disengage it while in 2wd. It could be a bad solenoid, vacuum line, or IWE. None of these have anything to do with the brakes, so you may have more than one problem if having a problem with the brakes.

thanks man for the info i just called my trans shop that i go to for everything and he said for me to drop it off on monday and i'm gonna go home to day from work and jack her up and take a look at the brakes i mean i just put brand new brake pads on it so if they are gone i'm gonna be pissed cause they were about 150 bucks for those thermo quiet ones
