Slight shudder

hey guys i have a 2003 fx4 an sometimes when im goin up a hill an slightly accelrate an the truck shutters an vibrates real bad right under my feet usually win i accerlerate it shutters sometimes does any body know wat this is or had this same problem?

Could be a misfire. Pretty vauge, don't have much to go on.

one of my freinds told me its probally bands in the transmission slipping

Does it stop shuddering if you accelerate harder - enough to make it downshift?

Does it happen when the truck just shifts into OD at very low RPM? A low grade misfire from a bad COP will make the whole truck shake.

it happens when i accerlerate like win it jumps into a higher gear. like goin up a hill an yes the whole truck shakes sometimes

no it shudders when i accerlrate harder

That does sound like the tranny, but I believe it uses clutches, not bands.

When was the last time the fluid was completely changed? How does the fluid look and smell?

the trans has clutches and 2 bands how many miles on the truck

Yea, my 05 lariat does that as well. If I floor it, it wont do it. But when I lightly accelerate it will do it sometimes. So I just stopped accelerating slowly

If you have original plugs at 91k, you should change them on general principle. When you get the tranny serviced, use an exchange machine to get a complete replacement. A pan drop only changes 1/3 of the fluid.
