I can't get the pin out of the locker the pin hits the ring gear. do I have to loosen the ring gear to get it out? To pull the clips on the axels. Thx

Have you tried the other direction? it should come right out with a little bit of reassurance. just to be sure, your trying to pull it out toward urself right?

8.8 problem

I have tried pushing it out towards me at 180 degrees or both ways and it still hits the ring gear?

Are you refering to the pin that keeps the axle c-clips on? I've taken a few apart and never hit the ring gear. What year truck? Can you take a picture?

you should honestly be able to pull it out with your fingers, you may try a set of channel locks and a terry cloth to keep from marring the surface. otherwise you can try grinding the teeth down just enough to clear.

You have to upload the pic to a photo hosting site or your album here, then copy the forum code into your post.
