that is an option, but don't try and use 4wd while your truck is configured that way!!

It's possible, but I'd recommend you find a way to completely disable 4wd engagement till you finish the job. One mistake and you will bind everything up. Do NOT get a rear gear set in a ratio that's not available for the 8.8 reverse cut front.

Just be extremely careful. There was a guy on here that gear his 4x4 that way and he engaged his truck one time and he had some pretty bad issues with it.

i wouldnt be worried about me engaging the 4wd. i would be worried about someone else doing it. About how much does gearing the front and rear cost. i want 4.56's maybe. cause i got 35's but i eventually wanna go to 37's

I would say around $1,500. Might end up being more if you do them individually. I think that 4:56's would be good for 37's, but thats just going off of my friends trucks that have that set-up. I have a buddy with an chevy 3500 with 4:88's(im pretty sure thats what they are) and 40's and he burns them out all the time.

I don't know how you engage the 04+'s but my 03 just has a little **** like the fan controller.

I just put some red electrical tape across it. Visual and Physical deterrent.

Its the same on the NBS, the tape is a good idea.
