4.6 2v cams help please?

This guy is trying to sell me some cams.. he bought them for his 2000 mustang gt which is a 4.6 2v (there still new never installed)....and my truck is a 4.6 2v as well. will they fit my truck? im pretty sure they will but i want to ask around first... any help would be good thanks

im pretty sure it is... and i asked the guy for all the specs but he hasnt messaged me back... whats your guess? will they fit or not?

if the 'stang is PI headed then yes they will fit but there's more it than that...



will you need springs? what rpm band are they designed for? will you need fuel, stall tune? etc

yeah i know what you mean... i will find out tommorrow what model cams they are so i can find out the specs... what stage cam would be good for my truck?

current mods: diablo sport programmer, k&n intake, magnaflow high flow cats, 40 series flowmaster, and (4.10 gears but not installed yet)

i think tarajerame is hinting at this already, but i'll spell it out. unless you have or are going to have, ported or aftermarket heads, intake manifold, or a power adder, i.e. super/turbocharger. its not going to be worth the trouble of installation or the cost. cause you'll only get maybe 30-40HP with what you currently have, and there are much easier ways of getting that power, like headers, e-fans, 75mm TB(yes if you port the elbow its worth it), gears, and a solid custom tune.

oh ok. i was thinking that i needed other major mods but the price he offered was good lol... and if i want more power what should be my next mods?

those heads you showed me, would work but you'd probably be better off getting some fox lake or champion heads and having them certed as the ones on ebay appear to be 4 thread heads (if your gonna change heads might as well make sure you do it right)
