In what gear?

Stock sized tires with a 4.30 gear can still hit 130+ mph.

At 5,000 rpm in 4th gear you could hit 152 mph with 285/70/17s.

You really shouldn't be driving that fast anyways, especially with aggressive tires. My tires are speed rated at 93 mph or so.

Completely agree. I set my speed limiter via the Xcal2 to only 100mph just to make sure I wouldn't overdo the tires.

manufacturer ratings are just recommendations there not set in stone.
besides he said 100 in the quarter so hes probally wanting to run it on the strip with the 4.56 gears not the hwy.

but anyways how many of you are running 4.11 gears with 33" tires i was thinking about upgrading my stock 3.55's to some 4.11's to get the take off back again the truck used to have when it had stock tires on it. right now at 70 on the hwy the engine is turning around 1700 rpms.

thansk man. the rpms don't really seem that bad with those tires and 4.56's!

i know this is an old forum but i didnt want to start a new one when this talks about it, cause i do that a lot. how would 4.56 be on the interstate, 75mph with a 33.4" tire? the calculator says i would be running 2400 rpm.that sounds high

It is pretty high, so maybe drive 65 mph? Driving slow(er) on the highway is all part of the deal in stepping up to lower gears.
