transfer case rattle

transfer case rattle

Transfer case has strated a rattle @ 1300 to 1500 rpms, and no where else, it only does this under load, it sounded like a heat sheild, but i ruled those out, any ideas?

you sure it's the transfer case? how did you test this knowing that it only happens under load?

i would double check the heat shields again. now that i think about it, you might want to check your cats.

The cats under the truck are brand new "high flows" ( long story behind that one, but they are just replacement cats that i bought but they were advertised as high flows.) Lets just say the Heat sheilds are missing right now, all of them.

how i found the rattle under load:

put it in drive and powerbraked it untill 1300-1500 RPMS, a freind got under the truck and told me about where it is. there is nothing else in the area that i can think of that would rattle the way it does.

If nothing else, i can get a video of it?

a video might help. im guessing you have a manual t-case. check the linkages to it. i just dont see a reason as to why it would rattle.

its actually an auto/electric t case, ill shoot video of it eventually, im really sick right now
