Re-Gearing Question

Will these fit an '05 8.8 rear?
http://dagostinoracing.com/index.php...oducts_id=7018

is the 8.8 in an f150 the same as an 8.8 in a mustang?

Double check the spline count. It should be either 28 or 31. I know the truck gets 31 and a ranger gets 28 (usually, unless FX4 Level 2) but not sure about mustangs.

The mustang rear is not the same...they have differant axles & differant size axle tubes...but the truck & mustang are both 8.8...so any carrier or gears will fit in both.....If your just doing gears your spline count dosnt mater...only if your going to change the carrier....Your truck should be 31 spline...The mustangs were 28..but most of them went to 31 when they changed carriers ...Lew

First you need to find out what gear you have & how tall your tires are...3.27 gears wont help at all...There is might be a tag on the rear end ??

i meant 3.73 i dunno why i typed 3.27
i've got 3.55
and i'm bout to put some 20" bullitt style wheels with some decent tires around them (don't know exact size yet but don't like the "low-pro" look so they'll be bigger than that)
but i was wondering if those or 3.90 or maybe even 4.11 would be better...
i don't want a drag machine but i want a decently quick truck on the street so which would be better for that???

To go from 3.55 to 3.73, you won't see much of a difference. Go up to 4.10. You'll get more power to the wheel, and still have decent mileage.
