Should I get black for my truck? Steel or aluminum.... My truck is on page 1 at the top... Its silver.. And what about the Maxxis Trepador tires..?

You have the Radial TSL's?? Man I wish they were a lil wider...

yes i have the radial TSL's im really not familiar wit the Maxxis Trepador tires. I will take a look and see what i can find on them (i have my sources) i wont give you any info witout some type of back up! Just so you know. I have seen the Trepador but really not payed them much attention ill take a look.

and steel wheels will be stronger. and id say go with black. Black and silver looks good together.

Steel over aluminum? Steel are cheaper I BELIEVE, correct me if I am wrong once again... I would like to stay right around 1k for wheels and tires.... HARD TO DO I KNOW! But possible.... A little more might work I guess... A little less would be better... I think there are some steel black ones for 90 bucks ea. I saw somewhere...

I know its hard to find a good "cheap" tire, but I dont want to spend alot of money because I still need to redo my rearend, and if I gear higher, need to do my front...

Correct me if I am wrong AGAIN, but isnt the front end 28 spline axles??? And I need Reverse Cut gears?

ok well i have read up on the Trepadors and have gotten a few good responces on them. No bad responces at all.

Id say they might be priced a bit high though

yes i pic steel
they are stronger
they are harder to dent or crack

yes its very hard to find a cheap good tire
Buckshots might not have a big sidewall tread but they are great offroad tires

No you wont get both for under 1k
the cheapest you will get tires (new) is gonna be 750
the cheapest wheel ive found was the steel rockcrawler wheels that were alittle over 100
Or you can do what i did and buy a used set of tires or wheels

rearend
you DONT have to regear for 35's
however since you will be towing it will help
Im runnin 36's with stock 3:55 LS
I do however plan on regearing to 4.88's
regearing alone will cost you close to 1600 (unless you do it yourself)

frontend
The frontend of our trucks is an 8.8 Reverse
the gears must be reverse cut

spline count
i have no clue what our spline count is but i will look it up for you

From what I have found the rear end is 31 Spline and the front is 28 Spline

And I have found the wheels for around 80 bucks online.

Here is one site I found for 73.47

But they are 4" backspacing.. Is that alright?

80.99

Yeah thats a good deal.

Im not a guru on wheel backspacing/ offset. Ill PM Wandell for you and see what he thinks but it might take a few for him to respond.

BTW Wandell is the tire/wheel GOD around here

ok man this is what Wandell told me

"He really needs a 16x10 with 4.5 inches of bs. That's what I have and 315/75-16's are a tight fit. If he wants a black wheel, I'd look at the Eagle Allow and Pro Comp wheels.
Later, Wandell"

this is what i thought but i really wasnt sure
