CV Joint replacement

I blew boots on both CV joints. So i figure they're full of mud. Where is the best place to get new ones. And does anybody have a write-up for the procedure?

It's more cost effective and easier to replace the whole halfshaft with a reman. A reman halfshaft should be in the 50 to 75 buck range. Forget new OEM, those are over $200 each.

Reman half shafts and new OEM half shafts here:

glc was right. Big difference in price.

I just ordered shocks and struts for another car from Rock Auto yesterday. The prices were great and they arrived today. Not bad for "ground" shipping. Must be a warehouse nearby.

You can also probably find reman halfshafts locally, check with parts stores. Expect to pay a core charge.
