Question new to regearing, some ?'s...

My truck will be going in for gears in a week and the place doing it recommended i order the parts to get them cheaper, he told me there was no money to be made in parts. The guy has 30+ years experience and was recommended by everyone in town i talked to, so i figure hes a trustable source. Ive done some research on here, but little of it made sense to me.

Which brand is best? i know most are going precision or yukon and at most places yukon is considerably higher priced. The highest quality/strongest gears that wont give me any problems? Also, one of those two doesnt make a 4.88 for the front?

What all should I be ordering? Somewhere on here i saw a list of things people where ordering but cant seem to find it again for the life of me...I know of the gear/ring pinion set, but what else. I already ordered the mag-hytech cover this morning.

Also my axles are an 8.8 reverse cut on the front, and a 9.75x12 rear correct? I hope thats right.

As if i didnt already sound like a numb nut, would it be better for someone like me who has little knowledge of the area to just make them get it all for me??

Thanks guys, sorry for such a long post..

Check out this site. They can probably help you.

Me personally, I would get the ring & pinion and a master rebuild kit for each end. At the same time put a locker in the rear (cheaper to pay for and do the install one time).
