F-150 claquing noise

I have an '03 f-150 4x4 with the 4.6.and about 55,000km. I'm getting a metallic claque claque claquing sound from beneath the driver's side at 90kmh and higher. It disappears if I make a quick right-hand lane change or on a right-hand bend in the highway. Also, there is a shudder at take off from a stop, especially on a left hand turn. Additionally, there is a rough, "out-of-round" feel to the brakes when using the brakes...in the way when a rotor is warped...I feel it through the truck. There is no unusual vibrations as with an out-of-balnce drive-shaft.
At city speeds, everything is normal...until I apply the brakes or want to go on the highway !
Any ideas before I take it in to the dealer for a soaking?
Thanks much.
