Just really curious why the driver's side mirror would cost less than the passenger's side one?

 

I've seen some of the really stripped work trucks that had only one mirror (driver's side). Maybe it is because of lower cost per unit due to larger volume of production.

Then again, I didn't do too well in economics in college.
