A-Pillar Removal

I'm going to install an aftermarket gauge pod and need to know how to remove the a-pillar cover. Any instructions?

Thanks,

John

It's not much to worry about. Just pull straight back. There's a clip at the top and one at the bottom.

So c'mon JBRIII, tell us what pod/gauge combo you got.
Does the color match with your interior and original A pillar trim piece? Did you get a two or three pod set up? Details please.

Le Pew,

I got a single autometer pod and a phantom tranny temp gauge. I've had some tranny problems with other vehicles and want to try and bullet proof this one as much as possible. Want to keep an eye on the temp to see if I need an additional auxilliary cooler other than the one that comes with the tow package. I'm installing and external auxilliary filter from perma-cool as well. Plus I think the guage looks nice.

The pod is black. I sprayed it last night and put a second coat on this a.m. I used Duplicolor Plastic and Vinyl trim spray paint. I believe the color was medium gray. It looked a little dark on the cap, but the color matches perfectly.

I'm hoping to get it installed this weekend, if the weather cooperates and the wife doesn't have other plans. But it'll probably be after the holidays.

FYI on the models with grab handles there, you have to remove the handle first, then give it a pull.

Good luck with the guages.

Oops

Forgot about that.... My truck doesn't have a driver's side grab handle.

AJ,

Mine didn't have a handle either. Thanks for all your help.
