Well, I guess it has to start somewhere! Yes, I have cracks in the bottom of both doors and I don't know what to do about it. I have had my truck since 01-15-01 and it was built in may '00. Any ideas?

To Fulthrawtl,

Have you gone back to your dealer yet ? Like many truck owners have said, you may get them to cover 80 % of the cost of replacing the doors. I'd start there first.

To Fulthawtl,

Let me us know how you make out if you go back to the dealer. Sorry to hear about the cracks. i've made up my mind that if I start getting cracks, i'm just going to trade the whole truck back in for a 2002 model.............

No Cracks yet

2000 Lariat - 10-99 Build 19000K Crackless

FYI - Their is a TSB out for door cracks that includes 3 levels of "repair". The first level, at your option, is a preventive step that can be done if you do not have cracks. I willl try to find TSB number.

Yes guys, I have a door crack in the drivers door of my 2000. It came at 6000 miles. I have to say that the door cracks are the least of my worries though. The truck is used 500 miles from the nearest road in the Alaskan bush. It came in on the barge, and no there aren't any body guys around the corner.

No cracks on my '00.

When I traded my '00 last August (34,000 miles), it didn't have any cracks in the doors. The main reason that I traded was because of the rust on the bottom of the doors and tailgate.

I was talking to a guy at work today and he told me that he had the crack on his drivers door of his '00.
