Whistling air vents

Have had my truck over a year now. Have had this problem pretty much since day 1. When the vents are on hi on chest with air coming from outside, there is a loud whistling noise coming from passenger side. I took it to ford today and surprise surprise they could not find the problem. I showed the service writer and explained to him how disgusted I was that I waited almost 2 hours and tech could not duplicate.

Also when opening passenger front door it creaks, door gasket is rubbing on a pillar pretty bad.

HAS OR DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS?

Thanks...

Hi RSTHD150,

I want to jump in here and see how I can best assist. How many miles are on your truck? When you were at the appointment, did you demonstrate both of the noises for your tech? I'll start investigating options.

I was not afforded the opportunity to talk to a tech. I showed the service writer before I left. Lots of people who have come here are not satisfied. Unfortunately I am going to have to put an extra 100 miles to go to a ford dealership where there is quality in service. I was there at 0900 this morning.

Thanks crystal

Thanks for the quick reply, RSTHD150. If you'd like, I'd be happy to escalate this to the customer service manager (CSM) for your region. Reach out to me via private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and preferred servicing dealership. I'll push this up the chain for you.

Not sure on the vent system noise but if they have another truck on the dealer lot listen to the two back to back. Is your door noise more of a squeak when opening like near the corner of the door behind the mirror area? If so, dab on a little silicone grease with a q-tip. It's the weather strip that folds back.

Problem is, is that air leaks into cab. It's not just the audible that is bothering me when opening. I think it was a pinched seal before install from factory
