Hey guys, does anyone know if the 04-08 badges would look good on my 2000 f-150? Im just worried about putting them on the fender and being able to see one of the old peg holes. Or would it cover all the holes up? Cause I want them to say 5.4 Triton XLT. On the ones I have now the red XLT has faded. If so, where can I get them cheap?

this is what mine looks like. They cover the holes just fine. I got mine from a member on here. Just look in the classifieds and you should be able to find some cheap.

I don't see 5.4 anywhere on that badge. You got 2 outta 3 (triton and xlt). Any thoughts on the new generation badging?

 

I didn't care for it to say 5.4 on my badge. the old badges never said that so wasn't a big deal to me.

 

Thought about the new badging but I think the 04-08 will look better. I just wish it wouldn't be lying if I put Supercharged under it.

 

Wow! I was looking for badges and all the sites are charging $70+ for 3 badges. I think the dealer would be cheaper..

i have some new oem 04-08 emblems for sale, the complete brand new packaging they say triton 5.4. pm me if interested...

 

If I get them, would they come off easy? I know how to get them off using fishing line or floss. I'm just worried about the right front one though. It has been on there ever since the truck rolled off the assembly line. Would it peel off any paint after 12 years of never being romoved, will all the tape come off? I know that the left front one should be easy since it was painted almost a year ago. What is the best wayto get the remaining tape residue off, alcohol or goo gone?

I have tried floss and fishing line but they always broke. What I found that worked for me was to put the blue masking tape aound the emblem and then let it sit in the sun for awhile. I then take a plastic putty knife and slowly pry it off. The tape keeps it from scratching the paint. After it is off, I use adheasive remover to get the rest of the adheasive off. It never has removed paint on me and I have done it a few times on different vehicles. I hope this helps. Good luck.

sweet. yours looks better with black on black. mine is gray but i do want some blackout to it. and if i did get the 09 emblems i would only get the ones from the tailgate but get 3 of them since i just have an XL plus it would be all black. also thinking of painting all the emblems black that i have, even my sct emblems...might look kinda cool. thanks for posting the pics tho.
