I would like to not have a key hole where so thieves could break in as easily but I could still get in using my keyless door control incase I get locked out.

Look into a jimmi jammer. Simple enough design but effective against the screwdriver break in method

I would look into www.jimmijammer.com. My truck was just broken into that way. Granted, its not a cure its just a deterrent. If they really want in, they will just break a window.

You COULD have a keyless hole, and have a "back up" button/switch hidden so if the battery is dead (like kingfish said) you can still open it.

It is possible, simply switch the drivers door for one that doesnt have the keyhole in it... GOOD LUCK! lol all drivers doors have a key hole in them now. Try a drivers rear door handle from a crew cab and see if it fits. It will work, that is until you have a dead battery in the truck or a low battery in the remote. It is always smart to back up your locks.
