Best Way to get Body Colored Door Handles?

Just wondering what is the best way to get body colored door handles? Is there some way to buy them? Or would it be best to paint the black ones that I have? Another way i was thinking about was to get the chrome handle covers and paint those? Is that a bad idea? haha well thanks in advance for your help!

You can buy the smooth PTM handles from a vender such as Tasca Ford. If you have the drivers door keypad, they will cost you in the neighborhood of $310, otherwise around $250 plus shipping and then whatever it costs to have them painted.

I'd paint them if I were you. There is a write up here somewhere. The search button isn't working for me otherwise I'd have found it for you real quick.

Poke around, or give the search button a try, maybe it will work for you...

If I had a 04-08 truck the first thing I would do is paint the door handles. You can smooth them yourself it's not hard at all! I helped my friend smooth the handles on his dodge ram, and it took about 30 minutes per handle. If you don't trust yourself doing it then you can buy aftermarket smoothed handles for about $25 each.

Here's LT Handles (Aftermarket)

Here's Regular Smoothed (Aftermarket)

Yeah I have decided to do this... already have the parts ordered. But I was wondering if you used any speical process for painting the handle covers. Thanks!
