Front license bracket removal

I've used the search function to try and see if this questions been answered before but I can't find it.

My state doesn't require a front license plate and I want to remove the bracket thats making ugly faces at me. I haven't had a chance to take a real good look at it so I was wondering if anyone has removed it and know what it takes to remove. Any help is appreciated.

Yep, if it's the plastic one. I just cut the plastic tabs that go between the bumper and valence removed the plate bracket and pushed the tab pieces in towards the slot.

you dont have to cut it , you could try and resell it or save it for a rainy day

get a long flat head screw driver, crawl under the truck and find where the 2 tabs are ,inbetween the valance/bumper and pop em out, then lift up and towards the truck

I'm pretty sure mine just popped right off. I took it off about a year and a half ago to clean and polish behind it.

Or you can do like I did (accidentally), hook it onto a tree and rip it off. lol

I started to take mine off but I had to leave it because it had already rubbed through the clear and paint.

I'm going to try taking it off after I get home from work this evening. If I manage to not break it, if someone wants/needs it, they can have it.

Yeah. Pretty easy. I went through the lower grille to take mine off because there was a rubber guard in the way from the bottom. There was just enough room for my arms. I think there is still a little scar on my forearm from where I rubbed on the same spot. Well worth it though. It looks so much better sans the license plate mount. Good luck man.

I got under the truck this evening to take a look at how it was attached on the low end and it appears to be made into my valance. I need to take a closer look but I get home so late the sun is mostly down and it's going to have to wait for the weekend to post up the results of my findings.

Ok, just so I understand... There aren't any holes that removing the front license plate will show and just as long as its a newer vehicle the paint show be fine as well? I wouldn't mind taking mine off.., Give it a cleaner look.
