Keep Two-Tone or All Black??

Option 1: I have been wanting a change on my truck and have been blacking out my badges and my ford ovals and stuff like that. I got a quote of $600 to PTM the door handles , mirrors , all plastic pieces on the outside and the grey part of the two tone black to match the truck and then the truck will be all black. But i want opinions on what guys think.

Option 2: Is just keep the two tone and get mirrors, door handles , and tailgate handle PTM for $125 and get some other stuff done at the same time like maybe line x in fenders and some clear coat underneath the truck to prevent from rusting and added protection

Heres a pic to give you an idea of what i should do. Its still up in the air on exactly what i wanna do

I normally can't stand two tone, but that combo looks good on that truck. I could go either way. Just lose the decal though. I hate those things!

i would go with option 2- go preventative - and get all the items you want (line x and clear coat), and when your plastic starts to fade then paint everything black - so that way it will match up eventually.

Use a hair dryer on them for a few minutes and usualy a fingernail will lift an edge, then peel off. Never heard of the paint coming off.

I wouldn't change a thing... The color combo on your flareside looks outstanding... Leave it alone...

They will easily come off with some heat applied, when I took mine off I had a sorta 'faded' area left behind of the outline of the decals, but 30 seconds with some polishing compound erased all that.

I too have been toying with the idea of ditching the two-tone and going all black. I was going to Line-X the rockers, bumpers, fender flares and wheel wells with the black Xtra, but my local shop wanted $2.5k or so.

Since finding that out I'm perfectly happy with the two tone.

first things, first. fix your rear bumper.

I too, have the same DSG lower on my black truck. I got a quote of around $1K just to paint the bottom black. problem is, i was told, that to do it right, you have to re-clear all the panels so as not to have a hard paint line that could chip. price didn't justify it for me.

as for the handles and flares, are they just going to shoot your stockers or do you have the PTM harley handles?
