Need help from a Ford/Lincoln Parts guy

My wife bumped an 04 Town Car Signature at an intersection. I'm looking for a used in good shape or, new discounted rear license plate assembly. If new I am NOT interested in paying $405, because that's what they cost new. Ouch. I have run out of options locally.

Ford part number 4W1Z-17B390-AA

Where do you think I got my pictures! A request to him is already in to see what he'll take for it.

Anything you can do is appreciated.

I know this is a dealer only item. I have a locator running to see what I can find, problem is our salvage yards are now recyclers and sell decklids and trunks complete rather than part them out.

Can you believe I found one brand new, in the box, for $15! The VIN checks out, too! I'm floored. $405 part.....

Pure luck on eBay. I can only presume someone just wanted it off the shelf. I'm afraid to ask!

Pure luck is right... that is near what it would cost to ship that across the country.
