I want to get my driver and passenger door windows to match the rest of my truck, i was wondering if you knew what % of tint my back ones are. Thanx in advanced.

alos btw, my driversside rearglass is starting to leak, i can look from the inside and see light where the weatherstriping has pulled away from the glass, i was wondering if i could just put a bead of clear silicon or caulk, if not how hard would it be to replace the weatherstrippping, thanx

i actually think most state laws for front windows are around 50%. the further south u go the darker your windows can be normally. for example- i live in Minnesota and its 50% all around, Flordia is around 20% on the fronts i think.
California does not allow any aftermarket tint on front 2 windows or windshield. Only factory tint is legal.
I put MEDIUM on the front door windows on all my cars. Not sure what % it is. It is lighter than the factory tint on the back windows. The police can still see inside.
Knock on wood, I have never had a problem with police. I have been doing this for over 20 years.
Good luck.

30 allows 70... so if thats ur law, then you can go 30% (i've only ever heard of 35% though)
im pretty sure im right on this, i'd get a more expert answer on it though.
The percentage of tint is the percentage of light it allows in.
5% allows 5% of light through, hence it's extremely dark.
If the law says you have to let 70% through, then you can only legally have 70% tint. Which IMO is pointless. I would recommend 35% but if you want it to match the back you'll need 20%, like others have said.
