look-en around here i see a lot of people with full size box on there truck the dealer where i bought mine said That did not make this set up (screw with a six foot box) on the 07 f150 is this true or do i need to find that dealer and have a chat with him?

At least for the '06 they did. I assume they would for later models as well. I know the '09s have long bed options. You can go straight to Ford's website and customize them for it. Maybe your dealer was just too lazy to search for one? They aren't very common.

ya just had a heart to heart with the sales man who sold me my truck and after i got a little mad and every one in show room heard me call him a lazy S-O-B the sales mgr. came over and said how sorry he was and when i was ready to trad mine in he would get me a sweet deal knock off 8 to 9 grand of M S R P as long as i didn't make a bigger seen here than i did already wow fremont ford has lost a good customer in me ill never go there again!!!!!

I have an 8 foot bed. Full sized trucks do come with full boxes.

By the way, nobody pays MSRP. Look in the ads. They all advertise huge, $10K+, discounts off of MSRP. Okay, I take that back. There probably are people who will walk into a dealership & pay sticker.....but I don't know any.

blueovelboy, I can see why you are upset about the salesman not knowing if there was another bed option, but do you really count on the salesman for anything? I do all my research online and with the sales literature, both of which indicate the 6.5' bed option on the 07 Supercrew. As far as getting nasty with him, I think that is rather childish. I believe your angry, but don't want to blame yourself. If this statement causes us to not be friends, I'm sorry, but that is my opinion.

 

you are right it is my blame and yes i should have done some home work and if i did it you would not have to worry about being my friend i know this the one thing stuck in my craw is the fact that they treated me like a doller not as a person thats what made me mad!

 

I have an 07 Supercrew with the 6.5' foot bed. I would be pissed at the salesman if he told me they didn't have that option, when they actually did. There is a chance he had no clue what he was talking about, that's the case for most of the salesman it seems. It does sound like they just wanted a sale.

Just remember that sales people don't always know the product. I'm sure that there are forum members who know way more about these trucks than sales people. Usually, I go to the dealerships and talk to the techs. They know a lot more than those goons on the salesfloor. All that they care about is making a commission. Have a look at what those guys drive themselves. The techs at my dealership have Mustangs & Trucks. The sales staff drives in with Nissans & Hondas.

 

Some of these dealerships seem to change out salespeople like a pair of underwear. A week from when you went to a dealer there could be a whole new set of people.
