2008 cowl unsecured

I have an 08 extra cab and the driver's side cowl between the hood and windshield keeps popping out of place. It's been worked on by 2 different dealerships without luck. Any suggestions?

Common, both my bro's 08's do it. My 00 does not but it seems I have a screw in the middle preventing this. My suggestion is to fasten the 2 together similarly. Putting a clip on the bottom one, the kind that trim screws fasten to and screwing it with a stainless screw might solve it. The dealer is just gonna dink around and put the same crap on till Ford puts out a fix. I myself would fix it doing something like mentioned if possible.

Very common issue. I've have my drivers side cowl replaced and fixed 3 times. Since the third fix, it's actually stayed in place (past two weeks). I cannot believe they didn't update the cowling for the 2009 F150s.

The way those cowl panels come apart is that they clip in under the sheet metal. On the 97-03 models, there were screws. On the new ones, the only screw is in the middle and under the drivers side. There are also 2 plastic push pins in the corners that push into the windshield stops. I've seen several that don't meet properly in the middle.

I had mine fixed by the dealership 4 times. All that they do is order new pieces and then hope that they'll stay in. So far, so good. It's been over 6 months now.
